The Clock Is Ticking: Give Up Your Procrastination
Can y'all hear it? I have a new productivity motto. The clock is ticking . Every time I remember near checking Reddit, I mentally hear its tick-tack. When I'1000 about to watch TV, I recall about the clock. Whenever I feel like I'k fed up with the chore at manus, I remind me I'1000 the only one who can do it… And the clock is ticking.
Are you having a hard time avoiding distractions? Do y'all stare blankly at your unfinished to-do at the end of the solar day? Practise you regret every morn what y'all didn't finish yesterday? Well, the clock is ticking.
Balance is everything
The clock is ticking does not hateful y'all should work similar a robot, 18 hours a day and get just enough sleep to go by. It is meant to remind you that there is something to exercise, and you are the only person who tin can do it . Existence balanced is key.
If y'all demand a nap, have a nap. If yous demand a sharp mind, the clock is ticking ways that whatever moment you're not sleeping, you're not working efficiently. I go running several days a week, it helps proceed my body fit and my mind articulate. If I need to practise it, it is not a waste of time, if you need to do information technology, exercise information technology. But don't waste product time.
What counts for yous as time wasting, is just research for me. Everyone has their standards: for me watching a soccer match is wasting my time, for a soccer coach it is just part of the business. For me reading blogs is role of the business, for some others is simply procrastinating. Brand clear what is work and what is fun. When you need some fun, go and enjoy. But when you have your batteries charged, get back to the trenches.
Why are y'all skipping your work?
There are a m reasons why you may exist skipping your work. Fear of failure, fearfulness of success, non enough preparation, as well much preparation, perfectionism. A lot of reasons. You probably know some already.
Why are you lot skipping it? Can anyone else do it? Does the world demand you to be in charge of it? The respond to this question is probably yeah. Either because you need to do it to make money, or because this is your chore. If it is yours, why are yous non doing right at present?
Ticking away
Time is always ticking away. 1 day I grew tired of thinking if only I had done this yesterday and from now on, every time procrastination and resistance to work were downwards the aisle, I scared them with the rhythmic sound of a clock.
Don't fight procrastination with logic, deadlines or goals. Fight information technology with strong weapons, similar your stubbornness. The clock is notwithstanding ticking, and you are still here. Are you lot prepared to fight back?
Tick-Tack. Tin y'all hear information technology?
